Voorhees Man Sentenced for Child Porn

A southern New Jersey man who pleaded guilty in a child pornography investigation that led to several other arrests is now headed to prison.

State authorities say 24-year-old Daniel Allen Jr. of Voorhees received a seven-year term. He also must register as a sex offender under the sentence imposed Friday and will be subject to parole supervision for life.

Allen had pleaded guilty last August to manufacturing and distributing child porn and child endangerment.

Acting Attorney General John Hoffman said authorities found ``a massive stash of hardcore photos and videos'' on Allen's laptop when the executed a search warrant at his home in August 2012. A forensic examination of his computer equipment revealed that he had roughly 15,000 still images of child porn and about 200 videos.

Some of the videos and images depicted prepubescent children being tortured and raped, Hoffman said.

Allen also posted more than a thousand photos he took of two clothed young girls on a foreign website and asked site users to digitally turn those photos into child porn, Hoffman said. Allen also encouraged users of the website to ``comment dirty'' on the girls.

A joint investigation into users of the foreign website who communicated with Allen led to the arrests of six more men, including one from southern Jersey.
