Visitation, Economic Impact Rise for Independence National Historic Park

The Independence National Historical Park attracted more than 4 million visitors last year, generating more than $365.3 million in economic impact and supporting nearly 4,000 jobs.

About 4.3 million visitors came to the Independence National Historical Park in 2015, spending nearly $247 million in communities near the park, according to a new report.

The number for last year’s economic impact is nearly a 20-percent increase from 2014. and visitor spending increased by about 21 percent.
