Police ID Teen Killed by Cyclist in Kensington

A teen fatally shot by a bicyclist outside a Philadelphia corner store Thursday has been identified by police.

Seventeen-year-old Eric Ramos, of 3600 block of North Randolph Street, died at Temple University Hospital Thursday after a cyclist fired multiple shots at the teen as he stood near the corner of Amber and Cambria streets in the city's Kensington neighborhood, police said.

Responding officers found Ramos lying in the street with gunshot wounds to his head, face and chest. Police rushed him to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:08 p.m.

Surveillance video captured the suspect, who was on a bike, speed down the street and pull out a gun as he approached the Cambria Mini-Mart, authorities said. The gunman opened fire as Ramos and several others stood nearby.

The motive is unknown and no arrests have been made. Police have offered a $20,000 reward for an arrest and conviction in the case.
