The Ventnor Library reopened Wednesday morning following a two-day closure.
The Atlantic County library was badly vandalized over the weekend, causing not only thousands of dollars in damage, but the library to close as well
Police say computers and walls were smashed, books were everywhere and cleaning soap was spread throughout the building.
Authorities are searching for the vandals.
“I hope that they find whoever did it and they’re prosecuted for it,” said library customer Tom Hibbert.
The library, located at 6500 Atlantic Avenue, opened its doors at 9 a.m.
