A woman was briefly held hostage by a home invader early Sunday morning in Upper Darby.
Investigators believe that a male suspect held the woman hostage in her bedroom at 6940 Clinton Road at around 4 a.m.
The woman managed to get out of the house and call police, but the suspect had fled the scene by the time police arrived.
There have been no arrests and police are still trying to piece together a motive in this case. The woman had hosted a party at the house prior to the home invasion, but authorities are not sure if the two are related.
The woman, who has not been identified, was not injured.
