Uber's Business Users in Philly Get Early Access to New Feature

Uber's business customers have exclusive access to a new feature being rolled out for the first time in Philadelphia starting Thursday.

The San Fransisco-based company announced its Scheduled Rides service — one of its most requested features from its business users — will be available to its Business Profile and Uber for Business customers in the city, allowing riders to schedule pick-ups anywhere from 15 minutes to 30 days before they need a ride.

The feature was first rolled out in Seattle back in June. News outlets in cities including Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Memphis, Richmond, New Orleans, and cities in North Jersey also reported Thursday that riders with business profiles in their area will now be able to schedule trips.

Users can create a business account by signing up via their work email address to make filing expenses easier and keep their work and personal Uber trips on separate accounts. In its release announcing the feature, the company stressed rides to the airport, especially in the early morning hours, as one of biggest reasons its business customers were eager for scheduled rides option.
