Reaction to U.S. Capitol Lockdown After Reports of Gunfire

The U.S. Capitol is locked down after shots were fired in the area this afternoon.

At least one Capitol Police officer was hurt.

The incident began near the White House.

NBC10 News correspondent Luke Russert reported hearing three or four loud, distinctive booms from his office near the Capitol and said he saw 40-to-50 people first hit the ground and then they were told by Capitol police to run.
