Two graduates of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania were among the 50 people killed when Continental Connection Flight 3407 crashed outside Buffalo, N.Y.
Nicole Korczykowski and Johnathan Perry were on board when the plane crashed, according to an email sent to Wharton alumni on Friday.
Korczykowski graduated from UPenn in 2001 and Perry graduated in 2002. They had been dating since 2005, according to Wharton Dean Thomas S. Robertson.
"I would like to offer my condolences to everyone in our community who has been touched by Nicole and Johnathan and is mourning their loss. We are working to plan suitable memorials to honor these beloved and talented alums who had already accomplished so much, so early in their careers," said Robertson.
Korczykowski was living and working in New York in the field of finance. Perry, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, had flown in from Amsterdam where he was running a asset group, according to the Buffalo News.
They were headed to Buffalo to spend President's Weekend with Korczykowski's family.
