2 Men Arrested for October Home Invasion

Two men have been arrested in connection to an Oct. 23 home invasion robbery in Delaware.

Kyle Byers, 19, of Christiana Farms allegedly held a 28-year-old woman at gunpoint for 90 minutes while Andrew Bingham, 26, of Chelsea Estates ransacked her house, Police say.

The two allegedly left with more than $50,000 in jewelry, firearms, and a 50" plasma tv. Since October, detectives have been investigating the incident.

Earlier this week Detective Michel Eckerd received information that led them to Byers and performed a search warrant on his home. There, police found a camera, gun and some of the missing jewelry from the Stonewold home.

They also found almost 100 grams of marijuana, several grams of crack cocaine and a digital scale, officials say. Byers was subsequently charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for keeping a controlled substance, possession of crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

On Saturday, Police received information that linked Andrew Bingham to the home invasion.

Both Byers and Bingham are charged with robbery in the first degree, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a weapon with an altered serial number and conspiracy in the second degree in connection to the home invasion.

Byers is being held in the Howard Young Correctional Institue after failing to post bail -- Bingham is currently being detained in Pa. in connection with a different home invasion.
