Truck Fire Shuts Down I-95 South

A tractor-trailer fire shut down I-95 southbound during the busy evening rush Wednesday.

The truck went up in flames in the left hand lane of the highway near the Street Road exit in Bensalem, Pa. around 5:45 p.m., officials said.

Fire crews quickly began working to bring the blaze under control, but by the time the fire was out, the entire cab was gone.

Fire officials shut down the entire highway to fight the fire, backing up traffic for miles. Only one was getting by for hours as crews worked to remove the truck's charred remains.

Luckily, no one was hurt. The entire roadway was reopened at 10:30 p.m.
