Trombone Stolen from Special Needs Boy

Family makes plea to get it back

A nine-year old Delaware County boy with special needs is missing his most treasured possession. His family says someone stole his trombone on Thursday.

Aidan Milligan of Drexel Hill is a child with down syndrome and his parents say he was really looking forward to his weekly music lesson.

Aidan put the trombone on the curb by their car just before they were to leave and that's when someone apparently took it. The car was parked in front of their Warrior Road home.

Aidan's mom Helen tells NBC10 "We hope this is just a mistake, that they thought it was trash day and he had it out on the curb and that they see this and hopefully return it".

The trombone is worth between $800 and $1-thousand. And whether it was stolen or a misunderstanding, the Milligans hope to get it back.
