Triplet Injured in Bus Crash Leaves Hospital

Sophie Tezsla, the triplet critically injured in a deadly bus accident, leaves a hospital to continue her recovery at a rehabilitation center

Eleven year old Sophie Tezsla, a triplet critically injured in a bus crash in February, was released from Cooper University Hospital, according to New Jersey State Police. A website dedicated to updating her progress also posted on Tuesday that Sophie will continue her physical therapy at a rehabilitation center.

Sophie's triplet sister, Natalie, was also injured and their triplet sister, Isabelle, was killed Feb. 16 when their school bus and a dump truck collided at Bordentown-Chesterfield Road (County Route 528) and Old York Road in Chesterfield, N.J.

Funeral services for Isabelle were held on Friday. Natalie is recovering at home.

The National Transporation Safety Board recently announced details about the accident. Investigators say the bus driver, who has a clean driving record, told the NTSB that as he was coming up to the intersection, he had to pull up slightly to see if there was traffic due to a line-of-sight issue. He claims he never saw the dump truck coming.
