Travel Restrictions Begin on I-95

Travel restrictions have begun on I-95 as crews continue to make improvements to the ramp system at the Betsy Ross Bridge/Aramingo Avenue Interchange and rebuild the Cottman Avenue and Girard Avenue interchanges.

From Sunday through Friday, April 17, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., the Princeton on-ramp to I-95 north will be closed for excavation to install shoring for embankment support during bridge construction.

Drivers will be detoured north on State Road, then left on Linden Avenue, then right on the ramp to I-95 north at the Academy Road Interchange.

On Monday through Friday, April 17 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. I-95 north and south will be reduced from three lanes to two at the Cottman Avenue Interchange. A second lane will be closed at I-95 north Tuesday through Thursday from 12:01 a.m. to 5 a.m.

On Monday through Friday, April 17 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the I-95 north off-ramp to Cottman Avenue (Route 73) will be closed on the center section of the I-95 bridge above the ramp. Drivers will be detoured north on I-95 to the Academy Road Interchange and then right on Linden Avenue and right on State Road to Cottman Avenue (Route 73).

From 10 p.m. April 17 to 5 a.m. April 18, I-95 south will be reduced to two lanes and I-95 north will be reduced to one lane between the Girard Avenue and I-676 interchanges. Northbound and southbound I-95 traffic will be stopped periodically for 15-minute intervals on April 18 from 12:01 a.m. to 5 a.m.

From 9 p.m. April 17 to 5 a.m. April 18, I-95 north will be reduced from four lanes to three between the Betsy Ross Bridge/Aramingo Avenue and Bridge Street interchanges for shoulder paving.

Drivers on I-95 should expect slow moving traffic and delays entering the work zones.
