Police are searching for the gunman they say shot a tow truck driver Friday morning.
The victim, 36, and another tow truck driver were attempting to repo a Jeep at 9th and Butler Streets in the Hunting Park section of the city around 3 a.m. when the gunman came up to them and demanded money, according to police.
A scuffle ensued between one of the drivers and the suspect, according to police They say he shot the tow truck driver in the shoulder and hand before fleeing the scene on foot.
The victim’s partner drove him to Temple Hospital where he is in stable condition.
The suspect did not own the vehicle being repossessed, according to police.
