Torturers Claim Kids Are Theirs: Source

All of the children will undergo DNA testing to determine who they belong to, according to sources.

Two adults charged with the torture and imprisonment of disabled adults claim that six of the eight children found in the custody of the alleged ringleader belong to them, sources tell NBC Philadelphia.

At a hearing Thursday, sources say alleged ringleader Linda Weston told the court that four of the children are hers. Sources also say Weston’s 32-year-old daughter and alleged accomplice, Jean McIntosh, says that two of the kids belong to her.

The final two children belong to one of the prisoners, 29-year-old Tamara Breeden, police said. They also said that the father of those two children is one of the male victims discovered in the Tacony basement dungeon.

All of the children will undergo DNA testing to determine their identities, according to sources.

The next hearing will take place on November 21. In the meantime, all will remain in the custody of the Department of Human Services.

Also in protective custody is Weston's niece, Beatrice Weston. Beatrice was found with scars on her face, arms and legs as well as fractures and burn marks.

The discovery of the children came after police found four mentally disabled adults chained in the basement of a Philadelphia apartment building Saturday.

In addition to Weston and McIntosh, Gregory Thomas, 47, and Eddie Wright, 50, are also behind bars, all accused of locking up the disabled victims and stealing their social security checks.

Charges in regard to the malnourished and abused children have yet to be filed.
