Our local boardwalks -- three of them! -- are among the very best in the nation, according to National Geographic.
Delaware's Rehoboth beach boardwalk got top honors and along the Jersey Shore, the Atlantic City and Wildwood boardwalks also made the new top 10 list.
The list is ranked in alphabetical order. It also includes New York's Coney Island and the Ocean Front Walk in Venice Beach, California.
The survey calls Atlantic City’s four-mile boardwalk the “grandfather of boardwalks” praising its “glitzy hotel towers, cavernous arcade halls and a neon-lit amusement pier.”
