Teller Shot During NJ Bank Robbery

A New Jersey bank teller is in the hospital after being shot in the stomach during a robbery at the JP Morgan Chase Bank on Tuesday morning.

Police say the robber entered the bank at 1850 Klockner Road in Mercerville just after 10 a.m.

The robber who is described as a black male, around 6-feet-2-inches, with a muscular build, approached the teller with a silver revolver and demanded money before shooting the woman in the stomach, according to authorities.

The alleged robber escaped on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The FBI is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect. He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, dark glasses, black gloves, a dark blue long sleeve shirt and blue jeans with tan work boots.

Police say the suspect armed and dangerous.

The condition of the teller is unknown at this time.
