A young man, between the age of 17 and 20, was hit while riding his bike Tuesday night in the Tacony section of Philadelphia.
Police say the young man was at the intersection of Tyson Avenue and Ditman Street when his bike collided with a car around 10:15 p.m. Police say the car, described as a dark-colored S.U.V., then fled the scene.
The man was taken to Frankford Aria Hospital where he is currently in critical condition. Police haven't been able to identity the young man and only recovered a cell phone from the scene. Authorities are asking families who may have a young man of that age who didn't come home last night to give them a call.
The search also continues for that driver.
