Teen Wanted for Attempted Murder of Md. State Trooper

Delaware State Police and other law enforcement agencies are searching for an 18-year-old man who is wanted for the attempted murder of a Maryland State trooper.

Wyatt Young was wanted in connection with an incident involving a trooper that occurred on Friday in Hebron, according to officials.

Police stopped a car along Bayview Road in Middletown around 7:40 p.m. Sunday after it was reported stolen. The driver fled on foot. After an investigation police identified Young as the driver.

Delaware State Police, New Castle County Police, and multiple other agencies are conducting the search, utilizing K-9 teams and Delaware State Police aviation helicopters.

Young is considered armed and dangerous.
