Teen Subway Shooting Suspect's Hearing Postponed

The 15-year-old is being charged as an adult after he allegedly opened fire on a crowded subway car last month.

Update: The preliminary hearing for Darryl Lanier has been rescheduled for October 11.


The teen accused of shooting two other teens on a crowded subway car last month is expected in court Friday.

Darryl Lanier, 15, is expected to be in a Philadelphia courtroom for a preliminary hearing Friday morning.

Lanier is facing multiple charges, including Attempted Murder and Aggravated Assault, in connection with the shooting of a 17-year-old and a 14-year-old in September. Police say the teen fired shots into a SEPTA subway car at the Susquehanna-Dauphin station in North Philadelphia after an argument.

Lanier is being charged as an adult.
