Teen Pleads Guilty in Del. Kidnapping

A 15-year-old girl has pleaded guilty to three felonies involving the kidnapping of an elderly Delaware woman who was locked in her car trunk for two days before being abandoned at a cemetery.

The News Journal of Wilmington reports that Junia McDonald of Milford will be sentenced next month on carjacking, kidnapping and conspiracy charges.

McDonald is one of four teens charged with kidnapping 89-year-old Margaret E. Smith last year. All were younger than 18 at the time but were prosecuted as adults.

Eighteen-year-old Rondaiges Harper of Bridgeville was sentenced to 30 years in prison last month following a trial. Eighteen-year-old Phillip L. Brewer of Bridgeville pleaded guilty to several counts and agreed to testify against his co-defendants.

Seventeen-year-old Jackeline Perez of Milford is to be tried in October.
