Teen Had 595 Bags of Heroin: Cops

New Castle County police say they found the bags of drugs in the teen's bedroom

A 17-year-old boy, who hasn't been identified, was busted Wednesday by New Castle County Safe Streets Task Force and Juvenile Probation and Parole. He was taken into custody at his home on the 600 block of Moores Lane in the Colonial Village North Apartments in New Castle.

Members of a Mobile Enforcement Team told the Task Force that the teen was selling drugs around the apartment complex. That teen is currently on probation.

After searching the bedroom of his home, detectives found a plastic shopping bag in the teen's bedroom with five logs of heroin, split up in 595 bags.

Officers also found a shoe stuffed with more than $1500 in "drug money," police said.

The teen is facing charges of drug dealing in heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He is locked up at the New Castle County Juvenile Detention Center, after failing to post $25,500 secured bond.
