"We are deeply saddened to learn of the death of one of the runners who participated in the 14th annual Dash for Organ and Tissue Donor Awareness yesterday on West River Drive yesterday. This young man, who joined students and teachers of Philadelphia’s Furness High School to honor a young man who was an organ donor several years ago, collapsed shortly after his run of the 5k. He was taken by paramedics to the hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after he arrived.

Gift of Life Donor Program extends our deepest condolences to his family and the high school classmates and teachers at his school."
