A Berks County teacher was arrested after he allegedly had a relationship with one of his students and exposed himself to her during a live web chat.

Investigators say Stephen Sanchez, 26, a Chemistry teacher at Antietam High School, had inappropriate contact with a 17-year-old female student.

The student told police she participated in bible sessions at Sanchez’s house during the 2012 school year throughout the summer. During one of the sessions, Sanchez allegedly kissed the girl. Police say the two also communicated through text messaging and live web cam chats. During one web chat, Sanchez allegedly exposed himself to the girl.

Police say Sanchez admitted to the exposure as well as an inappropriate relationship with the girl during an interview. On Wednesday, police obtained a warrant for Sanchez’s arrest. He surrendered to Berks County Detectives and was arraigned and released on unsecured bail. He is charged with indecent exposure and corruption of minors.
