Woman Breaks Leg When Deck Collapses

A woman wound up in the hospital after a deck collapsed in Philadelphia’s Tacony neighborhood.

Rescuers rushed to the rear of a home on the 6300 block of Tulip Street around 3:30 a.m. after the deck gave way.

Philadelphia Police said that an unidentified woman who was standing on the deck when it fell suffered a broken leg. Medics could be seen rushing the woman to a waiting ambulance.

Investigators remained on the scene as they attempted to determine what caused the collapse, which left the bright red deck and everything that was on it on the concrete below.
