Teen Boy Dies After ATV Crash in New Jersey

Officials say the victims were riding an ATV on New and Patty Bowker roads around 3 p.m. when the vehicle overturned.

A teen boy died from his injuries after his ATV crashed into a second ATV in Tabernacle, New Jersey Saturday afternoon.

14-year-old Nicholas Cunningham was riding the ATV on New and Patty Bowker roads around 3 p.m. with a passenger, when he lost control and struck a second ATV, which was driven by another 14-year-old boy, according to officials.

As a result of the collision, the teen and his passenger were ejected from the ATV. None of the three boys were wearing helmets.

Cunningham was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger and the other driver were taken to Cooper Trauma Center in Camden with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Police are still investigating the cause and circumstances of the accident.
