#SwiftaWish: Teen Battling Cancer Meets Taylor Swift

A dream that started with a hashtag for a Delaware girl battling cancer came true Saturday night when she met Taylor Swift following a huge social media campaign.

A Delaware police department that gained fame when one of their officers jamming out to Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” went viral helped 13-year-old Victoria Marsh get her wish to meet Swift. Victoria is a Swift super fan who has Down's syndrome and is battling osteosarcoma -- a form of bone cancer that has already claimed her left leg.

The Dover Police Department put out a video of “Victoria’s Wish" in May  in hopes that it would catch the music superstar’s attention.

The video worked and Saturday night, before her concert at Lincoln Financial Field, Swift met with Victoria in person. The Dover Police Department posted a photo of them on their Twitter page.
