It is the largest donation, ever in the school's 148-year history.

Swarthmore College has just received a $50 million dollar donation.

It is the largest donation, ever in the school's 148-year history.

The money came from alumnus and well-known philanthropist Eugene Lang.

Lang, who is 93-years old, graduated from Swarthmore in 1938 with a degree in economics.
This is not his first donation to the Delaware County school. In 1997, Lang donated $30 million dollars to Swarthmore to support academic programs, financial aid campus facilities.

Prior to 1997, Lang had given about $20 million dollars to the private liberal arts college over the course of 30 years.
