A man wanted in connection with a deadly shooting outside a Philadelphia store nearly three decades ago has been captured in Massachusetts.
Police say 43-year-old Vicheth Prak was located at a home in Lowell on Wednesday night after detectives from the Philadelphia Police Department arrived in the northeastern Massachusetts city with a warrant for his arrest in connection with a 1989 homicide.
Prak was arraigned Thursday in Lowell District Court as a fugitive from justice.
It could not immediately be determined if he has a lawyer.
A Philadelphia police spokeswoman says Prak is accused of shooting an 18-year-old man in South Philadelphia after an argument outside on the steps of a store. She says Prak and another man fled after the shooting, and the teen died at a hospital.
