Suspect Tried to Hit Man With Baseball Bat During Argument: Police

Milford police say a 30-year-old man has been arrested after he tried to hit a man with a baseball bat during an argument.

Police say that the argument occurred nine days ago in Bicentennial Park, but police announced the arrest on Sunday. Police say Antoine Sturgis gave officers a fake name when he was questioned initially, but he was later identified.

He's been charged with aggravated menacing, possession of a deadly weapon during a felony and other offenses. Police say he also had an active warrant for his arrest from state police for an unrelated incident.

He's being held on bond.
