Cheltenham Stabbing Suspect Turns Himself in

Alleged killer was the father of the victim's children: police

A woman was stabbed and killed inside a Cheltenham apartment early Tuesday.

The alleged stabber is the father of the woman's children, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.

The incident occurred in the Lynnewood Garden Apartments just after midnight Tuesday morning. Olivia Thompson, 26, was found bleeding from a large wound to her chest, according to investigators.

She was pronounced dead at Einstein Hospital in Philadelphia.

Neighbors heard Olivia screaming "at the top of her lungs" for whoever was inside her apartment to "get out," authorities said.

Olivia's children's father Clive Thompson is the alleged killer. The 28-year-old turned himself into police in the Cheltenham Township Administration parking lot.

As he turned himself in, Clive said, "I'm here to turn myself in and I am sorry I did it, so sorry," according to the D.A.

It wasn't clear if Olivia and Clive were related.

A search warrant of Olivia's home revealed a bloody butcher knife under the bed where her body was found, authorities said.

Clive is being held without bail.
