Superstorm Sandy Service Day

Roll up your sleeves and get ready to get dirty!

Sandy Service Day is this weekend -- October 26.

About 5,000 volunteers are expected to mobilize to remember, rebuild and help New Jersey recover from Superstorm Sandy.

"It's been a year. Everyone might think it's over, but it's not over. We need volunteers to help people get back in their homes; back on their feet," said Brian Dean with Jersey Cares.

Families, including children over the age of 5 are invited to help. The second day of service comes on Tuesday, October 29. That is the one year anniversary of Sandy.

You can check the Jersey Cares website to browse through the different volunteer projects.
