Cops Nab Alleged SugarHouse Attackers

A man was assaulted in October after having won close to $2,000 at the SugarHouse Casino.

The 26-year-old victim took a cab home to Cinnaminson, N.J. when he was struck in the head by two men both armed with handguns. The men then attempted to rob the victim who was able to wrestle them to the ground.

On Friday Cinnaminson Police announced that they had arrested two Philadelphia men in connection to the attack.

Christopher Featherstonee, 22, of the 4500 block of Mole Street and David Riley, 20, of the 2100 black of S Opal Street face robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, aggravated assault and weapons charges.

The men had allegedly followed the victim home from the casino after one of the alleged attackers overheard the victim talking on a cell phone about his winnings.

The victim called for the police causing the attackers to flee the scene.

After contacting the authorities, the victim went to the hospital where he was treated for a serious cut on the head and lacerations on the face and ear.

The two suspects were caught on security footage from the casino. So was the gold-colored four-door Chevy Impala the men allegedly used to follow the victim.

Feathersome was arrested on an unrelated charge by Philadelphia Police and Riley was observed driving the car in question, Cinnaminson Police said.
