8-Foot Stuffed Polar Bear Needs New Home

An 8-foot stuffed polar bear is looking for a good home.

The Patriot-News reports Friday that a Pennsylvania restaurant owner is changing careers, and that means the polar bear that's on display at the Woods Creek Grill in Jonestown needs to find a new home.

But not just any home.

The bear was legally shot in Alaska in 1967. But now it can't cross state lines or be sold to someone in another country because of endangered species laws.

Bear owner Dave DeWees says a local newspaper classified ad promoted calls asking if a bear is really for sale.

DeWees says they're just looking for a good, and legal, home for the bear, which was very popular at the restaurant.
