Loud Pennsylvania Movie Patrons Assault Woman Who Shushed Them During ‘Furious 7:' Police

Police said three women attacked another woman who had asked them to be quiet inside a northeastern Pennsylvania movie theater, breaking her eye socket and leaving her with cuts and bruises.

Police on Friday released a surveillance photo of two of the three suspects.

The assault happened Sunday after a 7 p.m. showing of the film Furious 7 at a Stroud Mall near Stroudsburg.

The victim told Stroud Area Regional Police that the women were sitting behind her and talking loudly and cursing during the movie. The woman, who police say was with her mother, sister-in-law and two teenage sons, said she asked them to be quiet because her mother couldn't hear.

The victim said she complained to theater management after the movie, then left the mall with her family and ran into the disruptive patrons -- who had at least three other women and two men with them. She said the women began arguing with her, surrounded her and attacked.

The victim's mother ran inside the mall for help as her sons and sister-in-law tried to help her, said police.

Police asked anyone who recognizes the two suspects caught on surveillance video to give them a call at 570-421-6800.
