State Capitol Evacuated After Bomb Threat

Police are on the scene of the state capitol building in Harrisburg after a bomb threat.

Police are on the scene of the state capitol building in Harrisburg after a bomb threat.

State Police say they received a call between 4:15 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. claiming there was a bomb at the state Capitol set to go off in two hours.

Police immediately evacuated the building. State Police and bomb sniffing dogs were sent to the building to perform a sweep.

Investigators say no suspicious items or explosives were found and the building has been given the clear. No injuries were reported.
