Search Resumes for Man Who Fell From Spinning Boat

The search is set to continue for a missing boater who fell out of his out-of-control boat on a Pennsylvania lake.

Rescue crews plan to resume their work at Beltzville State Park in Towamensing Township on Tuesday morning. That's where the man went missing around 6 a.m. Monday after he fell out of his boat and didn't resurface.

Crews started combing the lake after two fishermen on the shore saw the boat spinning out of control Monday.

Officials used sonar to try to pinpoint where the missing boater could be. Authorities also have inspected the boat in search of clues and they've been using dogs to try to pick up the man's scent on land.

The man's name has not been released.

Last year there were more than 4,515 boat accidents in America with more than 650 deaths, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
