State police say a spider is to blame for a western Pennsylvania car accident.
KDKA reports that the Saturday afternoon crash in Cornplanter Township happened about 4:45 p.m. That's about 90 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.
Authorities say 26-year-old Alek Tarr of Oil City was driving a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix when he was distracted by a spider crawling around in the vehicle. Tarr failed to navigate a left curve and the car went off the side of the road.
Tarr and his passenger were unhurt, but the fate of the spider is unknown.
