Men Drive 13 Blocks After Being Shot

Two men drove about 13 blocks after being shot during an apparent robbery this morning, before getting help from a loved one.

Philadelphia Police investigators worked through the morning to try and figure out what happened after the men were shot at 61st Street and Greenway Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Following the shooting, the men drove themselves to 74th Street and Henslow Place -- that’s where a girlfriend of one of the unidentified victims picked them up and then rushed them to a hospital in Delaware County, police say.

Both men suffered gunshot wounds to their shoulders. Investigators didn’t reveal their conditions.

The back window of an Audi SUV at the second scene appeared to be shot out and bullet holes were visible in the back bumper.

Investigators hoped to figure out why the men drove away from the hospital to then get driven back towards the hospital.

Police didn't immediately reveal any suspects in the case. They also didn't say if anything was taken.
