Southbound Route 130 Closed After Car Hits Person

Authorities shut down southbound lanes of Route 130 in Burlington County Sunday morning after a car struck a pedestrian.

The vehicle hit the person on Route 130 near Chester Avenue in Delran, New Jersey around 7:30 a.m., according to police.

The victim was rushed to a local hospital, where they are in critical condition. It is unclear how serious the pedestrian's injuries are.

The driver of the striking vehicle remained at the scene and an investigation is underway.

The lanes remained closed for at least two hours following the accident.
