Social Media Fuels Rival Gang Shootings in Delaware

Authorities say a rivalry between two street gangs is fueling a rash of teen shootings this summer in Wilmington, Delaware.

The News Journal of Wilmington reports  that the shootings aren't over drugs or turf but insults on social media. The barbs go viral, prompting retaliation.

Prosecutors in the last two weeks have arrested 20 young men on charges of gang participation in an effort to end the violence. Two more suspects are still at large.

Parents of some suspects say the indictments lack specifics about exactly why their son was charged.

The rival gangs are named Shoot To Kill and Only My Brothers. The arrests come not long after the slaying of a 15-year-old teen.
