Gunman Fires Shot at SEPTA Subway Train

Police say the shooting happened around 10:30 a.m.

Police tell NBC10 several shots were fired Wednesday night on a Septa Subway.

It happened underground at 46th and Market streets in West Philadelphia around 11 p.m.

A spokesperson for Septa says the gunman got off the train, turned around and opened fire, striking a westbound train.

2 witnessess say someone was hit and the suspect fled the scene.

Police have not confirmed if anyone has been hurt or if any arrests have been made.

Septa service was not immediately interrupted.
