Man Shot, Killed Near SEPTA Subway Station

Victim hit 4 times on the street outside the North Philadelphia stop later dies at the hospital

A man was shot four times late Friday afternoon near the entrance to a SEPTA Broad Street Line subway stop, Philadelphia Police said.

The unidentified 28-year-old victim was shot in the chest and stomach around 4:20 p.m. outside the North Philadelphia subway station at Broad Street and Lehigh Avenue, police said.

He was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he later died less than an hour later.

Police were on the scene Friday night investigating.

No word was given on a possible suspect or suspects.
