Sex-for-Tickets Fan Gets Probation

Judge tells Finkelstein her crime was "incredibly stupid"

Susan Finkelstein, the woman made famous for trying to trade sex for tickets to the 2009 World Series, was sentenced to a year of probation and 100 hours of community service Thursday morning.

The 44-year-old West Philadelphia woman was found guilty of criminal attempt of prostitution March 25 after a Bensalem police officer testified in court that Finkelstein offered him sex when he responded to her suggestive Craigslist.com ad.

The officer testified that Finkelstein had a condom in her purse, made suggestive comments including "I'm a prostitute. I'm a whore," sent him nude cell phone photos and exposed herself to him during the meeting.

Finkelstein was not convicted on the second charge of prostitution.

After Thursday’s sentencing, Finkelstein’s husband said that he couldn’t believe the case “went this far.”

Judge Albert Cepparulo said that Finkelstein’s crime was “incredibly stupid” and dangerous, reported the Inquirer.
