Serial Bank Robber Strikes Again: FBI

The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are looking for a man who robbed the CitiBank at 2118 Cottman Ave.

At 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning, the suspect -- a 5-foot-5 white male in his early 30s with a thin beard and tattoos on both forearms -- committed what was possibly his fourth bank robbery.

Saturday afternoon the FBI identified the suspect as 31-year-old Joseph DiFalco. He is originally from South Philly but authorities believe he could be hiding out in the Northeast.

DiFalco is wanted for three other bank robberies in the area. He is allegedly responsible for the July 23 robbery of a South Philly Wachovia Bank, July 26 robbery of a Citizens Bank on Bustleton Avenue near the airport and the Aug. 2 robbery of a Conestoga Bank on South Broad Street.

The latest robbery was caught on surveillance tape. The man was wearing a brown hat and a dark t-shirt over a long gray shirt. He was also wearing jean shorts. In previous robberies, the man has worn baseball caps and dark sunglasses.

DiFalco is considered armed and dangerous.

The FBI has said there may be a reward for information leading to DiFalco's capture. Anyone with info should call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or reach out to Philly Police.
