Authorities in Wilmington are expected to resume a search for a man who witnesses say jumped off a bridge, but it is now considered a recovery mission.
Witnesses told police they saw a man jump Wednesday night from the Market Street Bridge while carrying a T-shirt.
Rescue crews searched for hours using long poles, but the search was called off late Wednesday because of darkness. The search will resume on Thursday.
Master Sgt. Adam Ringle says a T-shirt was recovered, so there is reason to believe that someone is in the water.
The Market Street Bridge was closed during the search.
