The collapse of a bulkhead, which supported homes along the bay in Sea Isle City, has left the structures condemned, according to police Monday.
The retaining wall supported a portion of three homes on the 8200 block of Sounds Avenue.
The wall began to give way on Saturday, dumping parts of a rear deck into the water, police said.
The changing tide eventually led to full collapse of the bulkhead on Monday.
No one was at home at the time of either collapse.
Officials from the city, county and state are investigating.
