4 Injured in Schuylkill Crash

The overturned tractor trailer is causing major delays on I-76 westbound.

An overturned tractor trailer has injured four people and is causing major delays on one of Philadelphia's busiest roadways this Monday morning.

Authorities say that around 4 a.m., the tractor overturned on the Schuylkill Expressway, landing on a minivan transporting three people.

The driver of the tractor, Ariel Torres, 35, the van's driver, Justin White, 22 and two passengers, Gloria Hicks, 51, and Arvia Bellamy, 50, were injured in the crash.

All four were transported to a local hospital.

Westbound lanes were closed for a time, but one lane, the shoulder, has since reopened. Traffic is squeaking by.

Crews are on the scene cleaning up the accident. Authorities say the tractor was carrying cocoa butter.
