A Pennsylvania charter school's behavioral staff member, whose duty it was to supervise a girl while she served in-school suspension, asked the underage student to send him nude pictures of herself, police say.
Ronald Adrian Byrd, 56, of Chester, asked a 14-year-old girl to send him naked photos while he monitored her activity during an in-school suspension at Chester Community Charter School, police told the Delaware County Times.
The 14-year-old recorded some of the conversation with Byrd on her cell phone and another student in the room heard part of the conversation, police say.
In addition to asking the student for naked photos of her, Byrd asked the girl questions about her boyfriends and their ages.
Right after the alleged conversation, the girl posted a statement on a social networking site saying what occurred, police say. People posted multiple messages to her in reply, telling the student to leave the room immediately.
The student asked to go to the bathroom, left the room and told staff members, who called police.
Byrd was suspended from his job on the school's behavioral staff, reports the Delco Times.
Byrd is jailed in lieu of bail on charges including sexual exploitation of children.
