At least seven people are hospitalized following an accident in New Jersey involving a mini school bus and a commuter bus.
Authorities say that an empty mini school bus and an Academy commuter bus with passengers collided on Route 9 in Old Bridge morning.
NBC New York's chopper footage shows the Academy Bus, which was en route to New York, slammed into a tree. A branch is protruding through the roof of the vehicle.
Six people are reported in stable condition at Raritan Bay Medical Center. A seventh person is in the trauma unit at another hospital.
The school bus is on its side.
Route 9 is shutdown between Fairway Lane and Jake Brown Road.
